Yesterday my auto club decided to go for a drive in the hills of Silicon Valley, with some 20+ cars, ranging from Miatas to a BMW 3 Series.
For this drive I decided to ride in a friend's 2010 Jaguar XFR; seen pictured above. This one, however, isn't your 'normal' XFR. The owner decided his stock exhaust was just too quiet.. so he straight piped it :D
Before we headed off, a friend of our's joined us in his brand new GTR.
That blue 3 series in the back might look familiar to some of you guys. It belongs to Oppo writer and best friend

Our first leg of our drive took place on highway 130 (aka Mt. Hamilton road), en route to a restaurant in Livermore, some 35+ miles away.
As we climbed higher and higher up Mt. Hamilton road, dodging bicyclists while executing perfect entries in and out of hairpin turns the views of silicon valley became more spectacular.
Our first rest stop of the day; so the slower Miatas can catch up and cool down ;-)
Finally on the other side of the mountain we found some straights where we could stretch the big cat's legs a bit..
We finally made it to the restaurant and after eating some amazing bbq we decided to take a group picture; cool cars only though :P
For the drive back I decided to ride in the GTR.
And hit some good speed.. as we drove to our last leg of the day: the Lick Observatory.
That was a fun ride.
And soon the rest of the group caught up; and yes that Tacoma is part of our club :D
And after a quick tour of the observatory we ended our amazing drive; can't wait for our next adventure!

You could use a Corvette, Viper, or a big HP Challenger, Camaro, Mustang, or something domestic. I hit 'recommend' anyway. Nice post.

There's a Mustang in the first pic, and a C5 Corvette in the second to last.

There must have been another one in the opposite hill too in Silicon Valley this Saturday as well (Near The Thomas Fogerty Winery behind Palo Alto/Portola Valley) On one drive I saw 4 (!) Nissan GT-Rs coming down the hill (I was going up)
Nice car club, what is this? Can I join? Maybe my VW Phaeton is special enough to hang around too?
